Fairy Tale Escape Room

The Gilman-Danforth District Library will have a fairy tale themed escape room starting March 14th, through March 31st.  The escape room is designed at the easiest level and meant to be enjoyed by everyone.  Your team will be tasked in finding Cinderella's glass slipper and Aladdin's magical lamp but if you fail you will be trapped in the mirror forever.  You may sign up for the 30-minute time slots anytime during regular library hours call 815-265-7522 or stop by the library

PreSchool Story Time

 

Preschool storytime is a free program of stories, songs, crafts, and snacks for all children ages three to five years. It meets 10 a.m.  Fridays from September through June. No need to register. For more information, call 815-265-7522.

Bag Lunch and a Movie


Need a place to go to stay warm.  Our new program, bag lunch and a movie might be the thing your're looking for.  Bring a bag lunch and enjoy an older movie while eating.  Drinks and the occasional dessert will be provided. Every Monday at Noon.

Book Club Selection for March 2020

Page One Book Club is a community based book discussion group that meets at the library at 7:00 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month.  Books are nominated by members who have read the book.

 

The page one book club will meet on March 17th at 7.00 p.m. They will be reading and discussing Ordinary Grace by William Kent Krueger

Senior Coffee Hour Every Tuesday at 10 A.M


Come in out of the cold and rain for a free cup of coffee, tea or juice and donuts on Tuesday. Visit with old and new friends. Bring along a friend of your own! Every Tuesday at 10 A.M.

Our adopt an author program will be starting near the end of January! Love an author and want to be the first to read all of his or her books? Adopt him or her!  We will purchase the author's new book at our discounted price. You can write a check for that book and you will be first to read it and have a bookplate with your name inside the book if you wish.
